We were commissioned to transform a disused, cluttered storage space into a sophisticated and multifunctional entertaining area. The brief was to create a grown-up environment that would seamlessly incorporate a lounge, study area, chill-out music zone, and fully equipped bar. The space itself was long with relatively low ceilings, yet it benefitted from beautiful views across the garden and towards the city beyond. To address the proportions and add architectural interest, we introduced a coffered ceiling with decorative coving and integrated ambient lighting, enhancing both height perception and atmosphere. Distinct zones were carefully defined through the considered use of varied materials, subtly differentiating each function while maintaining a cohesive overall design. A bespoke bar area became a key focal point — designed specifically for entertaining guests and enjoying live sport — combining practicality with refined detailing. The result is a layered, elegant space that balances comfort, functionality, and atmosphere, transforming what was once a neglected storage area into a dynamic social hub.
